The Economic Empowerment Project (EEP) is a Lotterywest funded project developed in 2018 led by the Financial Counselling Association WA as a collaborative venture between a Consortium of local organisations Perth WA. The aim is to address the financial literacy of women who have experienced economic abuse. The Consortium believe that through the provision of quality training and support aimed to address economic abuse, a significant difference can be made in women’s lives escaping family and domestic violence.

The Financial First Aid Assessment Tool

The Financial First Aid Assessment is a tool specifically designed for WA Women’s Refuge staff and Financial Counsellors to assist identify economic abuse and navigate through a range of financial matters for women who have experienced Family and Domestic Violence (FDV). This tool aims to provide information to assist with guidelines available to help protect or prevent further loss of a woman’s finances. The FFA assessment tool incorporates 4 Parts: Identifying Economic Abuse, a Checklist, an Action Plan, and list of Resources.
